Contact Prestigious Society if you are interested in Guidance Lines on the Backup Cam
I just purchased that Navigation and DVD bypass from them and I asked if they have any plans to develop a bypass so that guidance lines can be added to the backup camera/navigation screen. They said they would pass the interest onto Research and Development. That could be a form letter for every idea someone comes up with or they could really be researching a solution. If you are interested in that option and may purchase that from them, please email your interest and perhaps they will find it worthwhile to pursue if there is enough interest.

Guidelines
There is NO reason that Lexus cannot include the guidelines for the back-up camera. Toyota has the guidelines on the backup camera for the Sienna minivan. I test drove one both in Florida and back here in Toronto - both minivans had the guidelines. So exactly what the issue is, is a complete mystery to me.

$300 to fool the NAV system into thinking the car is in park - talk about easy money.
Sure would be nice to have it work that way out of the factory, but the most I'd be willing to pay for such conveniences would be $50ish or so. Why can't Lexus be the like other luxury automakers and just keep these features enabled while the car is driving? Or at least make it a programmable option.
