RX350 & RX450h & Cayenne // which one

Cayenne Turbo! I think it's ugly as hell but a very capable machine. It's "only" $107,000 new.

Tough group LOL
I'll comment on the cars themselves but first if I could go slightly off topic is that if you are talking new vs new bear in mind that a well equipped RX450h is around base price of a Cayenne V6. Options on Cayenne's are not cheap so from a dollars perspective they are typically in different ranges. You're probably already aware of this but I was quite surprised at the price differences and thought I'd share that up front.
Back OT I've posted my thoughts on the two RX's here and think they are fantastic vehicles that are on my short list.
I've never been a fan of the previous gen Cayenne from either a looks or comfort perspective but I like the new gen (2011+) both inside and out. I purposely haven't driving one yet as to get one optioned as I'd like it the MSRP would be about $70K so I have some thinking to do. But, I have sat in one and looked it over inside and out multiple times at great length and I think it's wonderful. The inside has a Panamera look and feel to it and I think they did a nice job on the exterior.
Hope this helps at some level and Good luck with your search!

They are not in the same class! I priced out the new Cayenne and realized it is way out of my league. The Porsche Cayenne is over engineered and a far better built vehicle than than RX. Not entire sure about reliability but maybe edge to Lexus as the Germans have electronic demons. I haven't driven the Cayenne but looked over one closely...body panel fit and finish much tighter tolerance than Lexus RX, leather seat higher grade than RX's, higher tech V6 with Aisin 8-speed automatic, etc. Remember RX is Lexus entry luxury car.

Re
A lot of my friend told me to stick w 350fwd or 450h fwd. I first love the 3rd gen rx too, and still am, and most of my friend and family lean toward Rx due to Toyota past of reliability and cheaper maintenance. But I really love the 2011 cayenne. One of my friend has an 08 cayenne, I drove for 15 mins and really like above said --> uncomfortable, but the 2011 styling looks way too nice. I would say one of the best looking suv ever built.
I'll have to research a lot more on this. Maybe just stick w Rx.

You can't compare these two vehicles, if you're into a sport ride and power then the Cayenne is the choice. If you want a smooth comfortable ride the RX is the way to go.
Cayenne is NOT cheap, the base price was 48000 but I threw a few options on it when I was building it online and it jumped to 65000. NOT fully loaded either, and still just a base model.

Depends on a few things... budget; driving experience; looks.
I was in the same boat a year ago. The Lexus is a good bang for the buck; it'll dazzle you to death with it's gazzetry. The Cayenne will dazzle you everytime you turn the key and hear that V6/8/Turbo come to life.
The Acura MDX/ZDX/X5/X3 are good bang for the buck options.
If I had a budget of 50k I'd go with a lightly used Cayenne GTS or a well optioned X3 w/300 turbo charged horses. Yes, I err on the side of sport!

I Just made up an order for a hybrid Cayenne with everything in it it was 94k my 450 with everything that I could put in it was on 63K. It is only money and you can make more of that the next day. Get what you want and do not thing about what if. Life is to short go for it.
