Dash Mat
I agree, the color is off a bit. That's all they had at the fabric shop that was close. If I decide to keep it, I may go by Tandy Leather and purchase a bit of "Black" or "Dark Grey" leather and use the first one as a pattern. Thanx for all your comments.

Dash Mat
Glare comes thru the windshield, can't tint that. I had tint on my previous LS460 and did not like it on the driver's/passenger windows. The RX350 set up on tint (dark in rear, light in front) suits me perfectly. I guess what brought the glare to my attention most was the sales rep was trying to demonstrate the features of the nav system sitting in the parking lot of the dealership and I could not see the nav screen for the glare. I moved to the end of the lot and turned the car 180 degrees and the glare went away. The home made dash mat is still on the dash for now, may get improved later.

We have a 2014 RX with light gray interior--so much of the dashboard in dark. We do have glare off of the metallic area just below the multipurpose display. The surface is metallic. Looking for an answer besides putting a piece of cloth on it. This is an issue so I say.. nice try!

RX 350 dash glare
I say nice try. We have a 2014 RX 350 with the light gray interior. So most of the dashboard is dark. There is a metallic area just above the emergency flasher switch, below the multipurpose screen that does reflect glare on a sunny day and make the screen unreadable. Any ideas other than a custom cut piece of cloth? I say to this member..nice try!

In the spirit of helping another fellow Lexus owner, and based on my past experience, let me suggest this: Get a professionally made dashmat from a third party vendor.
Back in 2009 went I got my Lexus, the first thing I did was buy a dashmat. I've been happy with it for a lot of reasons: it protects the dashboard from the sun, it reduces glare, and it enhances the look of the car (believe it or not).
If you do decide to get it, get the highest end one you can find. Mine is no longer made, but they sell similar ones here: http://www.dashmat.com/index.html
I would look at the limited edition one, which should complement the look of the car.
I'm sure there will be many forum members that will be horrified with this suggestion, but just my 2 cents worth.

Thanks for all your comments. I have used this makeshift homemade Nav screen mat on three RX350's now. I purchased a new 2015 RX350 yesterday and the Nav mat is on the new one doing it's job. I have not come up with a more professional solution yet, and I don't like the rug on the dash that I've seen, i.e. "Dash Mats". I use a windshield cover inside when parking in the sun for several hours, never had a problem with the dash deteriorating.

The pursuit of F
Personally, here's what I'd try since it will look unintrusive and is inexpensive that you can find even at Walmart.
Vinyl wrap such as carbon fiber, matte black, etc, whatever is to you liking.
