Xenondepot HID Kit + LEDs

Thanks for the reply Steve. For information purposes, I was wondering if you can show us how to tell if the bulbs that you guys are using is genuine Philips bulbs. I've searched everywhere and there's no way of telling what is what. This website claimed on how to tell what to look for.
If you don't mind, for information sake, where do you guys get your supply for HID bulbs? This site doesn't list Canada, and unfortunately, the north america site is down. I checked Australia and genuine Philips produces only 4200K and 6000K, not 4300K.
You guys may have posted the info but pardon my ignorance, I couldn't find it. Thanks in advance.

I went with the Xtreme 4300K Philips HID Kit for my fogs. I'm VERY satisfied with it. No problems so far through the winter and they are super bright. The hard part of installation didn't have anything to do with the product, it was more of finding a good place to mount the ballasts securely. I went with 4300K so that it matched the stock color better but if you want that brisk white color you might want to temperature up to 5000K.

happy1977: The kit you are looking at on the referenced website is a potentially an HID kit that is made in China by a "Philips authorized factory." Philips D2S 85122 bulbs do not have any sort of serial numbers on them nor do they have "KET" connectors on them. The serial number that is available on genuine "Philips branded" Hid kits are for bulbs and ballasts that are made in China. We do not purchase our Philips HID bulbs from China due to the high number of fakes (VERY GOOD FAKES). Here are some pictures showing some pretty good fakes:
Regarding your colour temperature question, Philips rates their bulbs at +/- 150k so they can be classified anywhere from approx 4k - 4300k

No functional lights? What does that mean? I thought the purpose of day time running lights is for other drivers to see you coming. I see lots of LED DRL's that I can see much better than the dim yellow DRL's on the RX.

Hi,
Your vehicle uses the same 9005 bulb for the high beams and DRL (daytime running lights). There are companies selling 9005 LED bulbs that will literally replace your factory 9005 halogen bulb. The LED bulb will get you a nice white output however the light output that it will put out will be minimal. As a result, you will end up getting almost no useable light output from your high beam bulb.

The lights on my RX do not work like that. I have the HID with AFS. The headlight low and high beam come from the same bulb. I don't know what kind of bulb it is but it is very bright white color The DRL's are only on when the headlights are off. Can this kind of DRL be changed to an LED?
