Default power steering stop leak

anyone try power steering stop leak fluid before on small leak rack and pinion?

I have not tried it on a Lexus, but those kinds of things don't always work. I depends on exactly what part is failing and how that allows the oil to escape.

In general, I don't like those types of products because it adds something to the fluid that will cling to the inner workings.

I ended up using Lucas power steering additive in my Mazda about 2 years ago for a small rack and pinion leak, it was able to fix the problem and I haven't had issues since. Next time I do a fluid flush we will see if it still holds.

I switched over to Valvoline Maxlife ATF (compatible with Dexron-III) and the steering rack leak has subsided. Since they want over $1100 to repair, I am trying that first. So far, so good.
