Headlight, AFS Off & Bearing Noise
I now have the 'AFS off' flashing on my dash lights...just started yesterday out of the blue (without the headlights being on). I have what I think is a failing HID bulb on the driver's side - went out a couple of weeks ago and again this morning. Reset the lights and it comes back on. Don't know that there is a connection, but if anyone has had that dual problem, let me know. I'll be looking at the manual ECU reset on the AFS light and at the sensor when I get a chance.
Also, I am pretty sure I have a wheel bearing failing on the driver's side, but I can't decide if its the front or rear. Any thoughts to make it definite - front or rear?

***UPDATE***
After riding in the back seat one day, I was convinced that the bearing on the right rear was bad. So I pulled the wheel (I had to do that to fix the AFS sensor anyway), jacked the whole rear-end up, and spun as best as you can on a full live axle - and no noise.
So...I went to the other side and did the same, and could hear rubbing on each turn, so I think it's now the left rear. Still could be one of the front, but with all wheel drive, these axles just don't spin! I couldn't get the hub assembly off right away, so I will be doing that soon.
About the AFS linkage - I spent about $15 to fix it. Found two rod ends with ball and socket joints at a tractor store, bought a length of threaded rod at a hardware along with some nuts, and it worked - at least for now. The rub to all of it was that the rod end was 1/4-28, a fine thread. The original piece was 6mm. I have kept it in case I need to rebuild it, if possible. For now, anyway, it works.
