Default rear brake warning light-

Hello,
I'm looking for a little assistance. Over the last week or so on the dash the rear brake light malfunction light has appeared. I have checked and all three brake lamps are working. Any suggestions?
Thank in advance,
Chris

I remember similar happened with my camry, malfunction light was turning on while all lamps were ok.
Found out it was bad contact in one of the lamps, causing the lamp flashing rarely.
The point is at the moment the lamp turns off, the malfunction light will go on and stay on, no matter the lamp goes on again or not.
Just try to hit lightly to the brake lights or shake them, while lamps are on. If there is bad contact you'll most likely see the lamp flash.

Thanks I will look into that being a problem ; I travel with a lot of scuba gear so it may be moisture related
