Default AFS OFF Flashing but no DTC Code in system.

Was just recently driving and my AFS OFF light started blinking while on the highway and now it is solid on. I have a fancy scanner (Xtool D8) and when i scan the system I do not get any error codes regarding the AFS system. I am even able to run diagnostics on it and manually move each AFS module on each headlight w/ this tool... but the AFS system does not seem to be working.

I tried to follow the instructions on this thread too but still no luck. afs off light flashing - ClubLexus - Lexus Forum Discussion

Any other issues i should be looking at? The values look nominal to me on the scan tool but i have not had time to physically inspect the afs sensor in the rear of my car yet. This car has never been in any accident and i'm using the correct oem headlights that came w/ the car

In my case while working on an ‘06 RX400h, I couldn’t get the light to go off until I plugged in one of the AFS connectors on the driver’s side (body shop forgot to when replacing light assy) and replacing the snapped off AFS level sensor on the passenger rear control arm

This^^^^^^ I'd also try turning the afs off as well.

I unbolted the 2 10 mm bolts to inspect the sensor in by the rear right wheel and reinstalled it and it seems to be working fine now. The afs off no longer displays

Update: even after cleaning the oem module it seems like the mechanism on the original module is pretty corroded and I got the AFS OFF flashing after a while. I purchased a replacement module and it works fine now. they are pretty cheap.
