Battery drain on 400h
When I go to start my 400h, occasionally it will not start. Sometimes, if I turn everything off and wait a minute, it will start. Other times, I need to attach a charger and it will start. This has happened in the past a couple of timew when I left an overhead light on or something. Now it happens when nothing has been left on. I took it to the Lexus dealer and they said the battery was fine, the alternator was fine, the starter was fine. They charged me $121.00 but don't know what might be draining the battery. Does anyone have any idea of what this might be? I need to get a new waterpump and a timing belt but I hate to spend the money on that if I am going to have intermittent starting problems. The starting problems are usually in the morning. The Lexus garage even kept it overnight and said that the average amp was fine, but there was a couple second spike sometime during the night. Has anyone else had this problem? They said they could not isolate the problem unless it was draining while they were working on it.
