2006 rx330 with some glitches
Purchased a RX330 with all the junk on it like Nav and backup etc. Some negitive things that I am expriencing maybe fellow owners can help me out with
1) The green light on the recirculating button on the dash comes on sometimes by itself with no air/heat running. I turn it off and most times it stays off. What does that mean?
2) my power rear door doesn't always works with R/c or dash button. Especially when it's hot and the sun beats down on it.When i manually open it, it will work for the rest of the day in most cases. Do i throw cash at it and replace the micro computer in door? I see i can get one on e-bay for 199.99. Are the replacements new and improved?
3) When i am running my A/C which works well the whole A/C button on the Nav screen doesn't light up green. The bar across the top of the button shows yellow. Is this OK?
4) Overall pretty happy with it. The gas mileage is decent being a AWD. Put a hitch and wiring in to tow a sled and ATV up North to our hunt camp. The premium gas it requires is fine because it doesn't contain any ethonol which is causing so many problems from boats to snowmobiles. Had a 5.3L 4x4 GMC truck before which was a real piece of junk with extremely poor gas mileage thrown in for good measure.
thanks. jamie

#2 - Try this first. Lube the two strut shafts with a silicone spray. If that doesn't fix the problem you may need to replace them. Hopefully it's not a motor or micro-computer problem.

As far as #1 goes, the RX will automatically detect the quality of the outdoor air, and if it detects smog, it will switch to recirculate.
