Default Key problem

In my 2009 RX 350, I am able to open all doors with the remote key by pressing it twice. But I can never get to roll down the windows and sunroof (hot day option) even after pressing the key and holding it the second time as instructed elsewhere here and in the manuals.

For some reason, the garage door too opens only when i press the button twice, and not while I press and hold once.

What could be the issue? can i reset the program to defaults myself?

I usually open the windows/sunroof by pressing and holding the unlock on first try. It doesn't require to be on press and hold on second press.

Works same way in my Altima for opening windows remotely.

From Manual:

Opens the windows and standard moon roof: Push and hold.

This is a feature that can actually be turned OFF at the dealership with the LPS (Lexus Personalized Settings.) So I would suggest stopping by the dealership and seeing if they will plug it into their laptop and see how it is set. They can also change if the sunroof tilts/slides back/or does nothing, while holding unlock. Garage door should open, just by holding it the first time, try that again. Hope I have helped in some way good luck.

Thanks for the replies. Yes it does help.

Elsewhere i saw someone saying if I remove the battery wires and connect them back in sometime, everything will reset - I am not 100% sure if that will reset the keys too to default settings.

Thanks!!
