Warranty
I asked about the warranty coverage. And was told the Air Bags on the RX are covered under the Powertrain Warranty. Which is 72 months or 70,000 miles

Just bought a 2004 rx330 recently with 48k miles. When I received it I noticed the power steering fluid level was really low. Then I noticed this popping/clunk sound when I would turn the steering wheel to far left or right. Also notice it when I would hit a certain bumps or a flex in front suspension.
I took it in to the dealer and they said I need a whole new steering rack. Looks like the aftermarket warranty already served it's purpose.
I also tried to have them do the transmission reflash tsb update but they said the extended warranty company wouldnt honor it so if I want it done its $120 out of my pocket.. LAME!

Does anyone have any experiences with Fidelity Warranty out of Florida
The company I think is owned by JM Lexus

Rx 350 extended warranty
It depends upon your situation.
I paid 600 hundred dollars for 2 years of extended warranty on my RX350. Thats just one repair at the Lexus dealer.
And it has already paid for itself. When my XM reciever went out.
600 dollars for two years of peace of mind. That is .82 cents a day.

Extended warranty rx350
Hello, I am buying a certified preowned 2011 rx 350 with 15k miles. The car comes with 3 yes/100,000k miles warranty. However, the dealer is offering me extended warranty coverage at a price of $2400 for 6 years/ 200k miles. I am not so sure it's worth it. I never owned a Lexus before so I don't know ? Help, help..

The warranty is the same from Toyota or Lexus. Pricing varies by dealer and can be discounted. If you search this has been covered a lot here already.
I got mine from Jerry.
Send him your purchase date and VIN. And he will quote you the price.

And there's no need to post the same thing twice in the very same thread.

Hi all, last year when we bought our 2007 RX at 80K miles, we also bought a 2 year (or 24K miles) extended warranty offered by the Lexus dealer at highest protection. Now the car has about 101K miles. Should I bring the car for diagnosis before the warranty expired to see if there's any problem and if the warranty can cover? Will the dealer hide the problem to avoid warranty, since the car still running fine? I mean right now the only problem I see is some squeaking noise randomly, but that's happened for a while and I brought it to my mechanic once but it did not happen when I was there so he couldn't say anything. Well, the car also needs break job I thing but I suppose that's not covered.
Thanks, appreciate any suggestion.

As for having your vehicle inspected before the warranty expires it not a bad thing to do. The dealer does not care if they have to repair something covered. They have already made their money on the sale of the warranty itself. Any repairs would be paid by the warranty company and not the dealer. There are a number of items which could be a problem and need replacing on your RX350 which you would not notice unless you had it up on a lift or inspected closely otherwise. Shocks, power steering rack, etc. are prime candidates for problems at this point in time.

Saying you are glad you bought the extended warranty is like saying you put a lot of money on 18 at the roulette wheel. Every once in a while someone wins, but the odds are against you, and the house always wins.

Thanks RX330inFL.
I don't say I'm glad (yet ), I just wanted to reuse the old thread. However I understand the OP's happiness because his warranty paid off while he knows the odd is against him (like you said). In my case my wife insisted to buy the warranty because that's her car. And now I just want to find some ways to utilize that amount if possible

If you have the warranty bring it in but don't tell them you have the warranty and get say an oil change and ask them to inspect the car. Then when they come back with problems spring the warranty on them.
