Unfortunately Lexus service charge us by the hours in our case ($150/shop hour ) + materials. In CA minor maintenance is $179 not including Air and cabin filter So doing my math here minor job$179+air filter$59+cabin filter$89 so $327 before brake job so you are talking close to $600+ including Brake job + a few odd and ends.

I'm in Utah, and my Lexus dealer wants $700+ for the 60k mile service. Looking at some of your pricing, mine seems absolutely ridiculous! Not sure where they pulled the $700 from?!?
They also gave me a huge list of items, mostly inspections that will be done.

WOW...How can they charge more than twice as much than here in Texas...The manual says what the 60,000 consist of...Looks like Lexus would have a say on what a dealer can charge..Would find another dealer even if long drive..

I haven't looked in the manual yet, thanks for mentioning that. Unfortunately, both Lexus dealers here are owned by the same company. I may just take it to my indy guy and have him do it. Just worried how that affects my CPO status. I guess if I keep receipts, I should be fine.

My Lexus dealer in Memphis wants $889 + tax for my 60k service. $1250 for 4 new tires. I did replace air filter, cabin filter, drain and fill transmission fluid, coolant. Took it to Toyota for brake and steering fluid flush. Paid less than half what Lexus dealer want. Hold on to the tires until winter.

My friends dad has the same car and told me he takes his Lexus to a local trustworthy shop, they charged him $475 for the 60,000. He said the only thing he takes his Lexus into the stealership is for warranty work, otherwise he goes to this other shop.
The maintenance manual details out everything for the RX's 60000, but basically its an oil change, filter change (cabin & engine) and checking fluid levels with an brake oil change,so that was what the $1241 was for. The lexus dealership asked me if i wanted to change the timing belt. I told him no considering the 2008 RX350 doesn't even have one, it has a timing chain. Flipping ahead in the maintenance manual and reading other posts, timing belts aren't changed until 90,000 and still looked in good shape. A timing belt job at a dealership is EASILY another $500+.
Just be careful and do a little research before anybody blindly takes their car into a dealership or any shop for that matter for work.
