buy a used certified RX
All, I am looking to buy a certified RX 350. The years are may be 2011/ 2010 or 2009. Any idea about problems/issues with those models we have to look for and pricing? Feedbacks are appreciated. We are locate in Charlotte NC. Thanks

First you should go out and look at an 09 and than the 2010-11. Those are 2 different cars interior and exterior wise. OPnce youve found the year you want you can go into either th 2nd gen or 3rd gen forums and start the research. Both should have lots of warranty left and to be honest there isnt anything too major problem wise that i know of on the 2nd generation RX, we have an 08 and its just been minor things all covered under warranty.

Is it really worth the extra $$$ for a CPO Lexus?
We got a non-CPO from a Lexus Dealer for a bargain. Priced a similar CPO and my head nearly exploded.

Dixielex, what did you get and for how much if you don't mind me asking? it's wierd that there could be that huge of a difference on a cpo especially if their both at a lexus dealer, I could see saving a lot from a used car lot than a lex dealer though.

18300 w/<70K miles
in canada its about $1600 more but still totally worth it.

Pole Position
I bought a non cpo at a carmax, saved $5000 over the same lexus at the dealership...Funny the cpo had more flaws than the non cpo and I figured for $5k difference I would invest in any repairs that were necessary...So far totally pleased...

Ditto. I even got Carmax to put on brand new Alenzas to seal the deal.

Totally agree. The extra $$$ saved on non-CPO car (I think I saved 5-7K) better put aside for POSSIBLE repair. I Replaced rear wheel hub (cost me under $400 in independent shop), did brakes - $100 more and it's about it for two years.
