Default RX 330 2004 Asking Price

Hello,

The dealer's asking price for an RX 330 2004 with 62k miles on it is $21,550.00. Would offering $20,000 OTD be considered a lowball offer? This is in Socal.

Your opinion counts. Thanks.

Hello FYI - Current auction prices are $15-18K depending on miles. The one you are looking would probably go for $16.5-17K. For Example I got my 2009 RX350 with 49,600miles for $25K Auction prices may differ and of course it is not CPO
Good luck

Go to ebay motors and see what similar 2004 RX330's are selling for. Does this vehicle have the premium package with navigation?

It has the performance package minus the navigation.

Performance package adds about $1K itself over non-PP equipped RXs. Air suspension, sequential trans, AFS (not available on RXs back then without PP), no wood steering wheel and shifter, and having something rarer on the road. My 330 with PP and Nav with 50K miles went for $25K a year ago. Oh, I did put new OE Michelins on a few months before and it was sold CPO so that jacked up the price a little.

Not sure. Seems a little high to me. I just picked up a super clean 2006 RX330 with 60K for 19.6K. Mine has the PP.

I think 20K is a bit high friend. I was lucky and purchased mine from a private dealer for 15,900 (no lie) back in 2009. Unless you're willing to go a non traditional route you won't find a deal that good, but I still think 20K is a bit too high. I would offer 19K and show proof of several other comparable vehicles in the same range. I'd bet the dealer didn't pay over 15K trade in value.

I guess depends on who is selling the car. In Lexus dealership? other auto brokers on the street? private seller? It all depends. I think eBay pricing is high (sometimes way over local dealer) so I won't consider the eBay pricing at all. In fact, more than 80% of those car are no sale at all which to me means overprice.

You should search around your area and use kbb AND edmunds as reference. (believe it or not, edmunds always has lowest TMV over kbb and if you shows it to the dealer over kbb, most of them will say, "I never heard of edmunds.com LOL)
not knowing where you location, I have to say the listed price is on par.

Its a Lexus dealer in Socal. They reduced the online price to about $19500. I am thinking of offering 18k. With taxes, lic and other fees, I think I am on range of what I am willing to pay.
