Which looks better the 2nd or 3rd generation RX? If a RX could be - I think the 2nd generation looks more muscular and harder than the 3rd. The 3rd generation looks soft, plain and not much definition.

No, I don't play soccer!
You forgot the 1st gen
2nd gen is definitely more aggressive looking than the 3rd gen. The lines on the 3rd gen are very different. The rear looks boxy. The sides look tall without side guards. No more round rear tail lights It's probably the biggest departure in style Lexus has done yet with the RX. But the interior and features made me a convert. Plus I like getting the new gens when they come out.

You may like to post this as actual survey [option when you start a thread].
I prefer 1st gen ... but then almost every one copied it.

Salim: I'm with you on that. But, now the 1st gen. is beginning to look old. I don't like the looks of either the 2nd or 3rd. generations.

We moved to Florida, and wanted to downsize from a Chrysler minivan. We looked at a *lot* of vehicles in the suv/crossover segment. The new Highlander and RX simply seemed too big -- although not as huge as the new Acura. A 2nd gen RX was just the right size, so we wound up with a 2007 400h. One very noticeable difference is the height when standing next to the front doors.
Now if only the front seats were as comfortable as the cloth seats we had in the Chrysler...

I don't mind the styling of either to be honest. I must say that the 2nd gen does have that tough look to it. I just wish that Lexus had extended the front bar of the car to give it real presence on the road (i.e. any other Lux SUV out there). The front sits a little too high for me. I could put a front lip on, but then don't know what it would look like with out side and rear lip.......
