Default Timing Belt question

Hello all,
I'm getting close to needing to replace my timing belt. I was wondering if I could get a link, thread, or list to all of the parts that I would need in a worse case scenario.
Timing belt
Water Pump?
Serpentine belt?
What tensioner?

Also may I get some opinions about changing the spark plugs since the engine will be partly dis-assembled.

Thanks in advance

You wont have an easier time with spark plugs because only the left side of the engine will be apart. And worse case senario would be water pump, cam seals, and tensior. The probable is p.s. belt, alt. belt, timing belt, and fluids. And thats if your vehicle is well maintained.

What's your mileage?

I have heard that timing belt and water pumpo done in a Toyota shop is around $400. That's a great price. Are you a good DIY'er?

I currently have 131000km on it so it needs to be done at 144000km. I can get the parts at wholesale cost so I want to save as much money as possible. So I'm thinking I need(worse case, I can return what I don't need):
timing belt
water pump
A/C belt
P/S belt
Drive belt
water pump
Idler pulley
Tensioner pulley
(2) camshaft gears

Am I missing anything? If so my I get suggestions
Thanks,
Chris

That can't be right. I was quoted $800 at an indy mechanic, and $1000 at Bullock City.

If you search, I have heard it many times. $400 for a timing belt, done by Toyota. I may be wrong and will check.

$800 includes spark plugs and other belts.

Actually, you are right. It is $189 for the timing belt.

Add in a water pump, serpentine belt, spark plugs, a tranny fluid exchange and you are right around $800-$850. Oh, and this is OEM parts.

Is that price typical of all Toyota dealerships? I find it hard to believe I could find a price like that here in Toronto.

I'm not sure what the $800 I was quoted included, but the $1000 from Bullock City was a bunch of stuff, including the timing belt, water pump, tensioner, belts, seals, etc.

I'd be happy if I could find somewhere to do it all for $600.. but I'm sure that's not likely going to happen.

$1,000 for all of them is not bad, definitely outside a Lexus dealer.
