2008 RX350 AWD / MP3 Jack
Hi all:
I'm seriously looking at a 2008 RX350 AWD to replace my almost dead 1997 Honda Accord w/240k miles. One of the things I have read is that there is no mp3 jack available in this car model. While that is a bummer, I am wondering if anybody knows if there is any kind of direct cable option (perhaps tapping into a sat or aux connector) that might be done by either a 3rd party or dealer.
I'm not going to use FM modulation or cassette input, not worth the effort.
Thanks!

No, I don't play soccer!
I had the Vais Soundlinq in my 04. It worked great with the iPod and Vais has excellent customer support I'm not sure what's compatible with the '08. Just give them a shout.

It is something you can do yourself with a bit of care. My manual skills are almost non-existent due to arthritic fingers, but I was able to install it on my RX with no problems. (That's a bit of a lie- I dropped one of the bolts and it seems to be gone forever). There's no cutting or splicing of wires involved - everything's just plug & play.
There is a very detailed thread on here giving the full instructions. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...-04-07-rx.html

My installer did it for me. He put the Soundlinq in the same spot and ran the cable into the middle console out of site. It required creating a hole large enough in the bottom to fit the cable end. I had to replace the cable after a few years so instead of going through the trouble of running the line to the console, I placed it into the glove compartment.
I have to say if I had these instructions years ago, I would have done it myself.
