TPM fitment
Recently we got new tires on our 06 RX330 at Costco. At first they said we needed some sort of TPM sensor replacement. They only cost $2 each so no big deal. Then, after we picked up the car, they said they didn't need them and would give us a refund. So if you're getting tires at Costco you can tell them you don't need it and save a few bucks. I'm not sure what models might require it.

TPM sensors are required after 2004 ( I think). 2005 started using the sensors.
The 04's had a different way of monitoring tire pressure. Measuring rpm-rotation instead of actual tire pressure.

TPM sensors are not $2 a piece. They are like $30 per pc. They do not need to take it off and replace. They are not your standard valve stems.
They waste valve stems, why replace them when they are still good? then again maybe the price is such that it is disposable.
