Mark Levinson only with RSES on RX?
I have been trying to figure out if you can just get an RX with NAV and ML, without getting the RSES. Can someone confirm if that is true, or if that has changed from one year to another?
Thanks

Mark Levinson System
I am in the market for a RX 350 and just got done speaking with a dealer on the phone.
He told me that the Mark Levinson System is just available with the rear entertainment system.
According to the Lexus website you can get the Nav and Levinson System w/o the entertainment package.
Please tell me the sales person was wrong.

In terms of what they stock, every dealer is different. Many package those two options together, and rarely get them any other way. But if you really push them, you can special order with the exact options you want.

You will need to special order it. Takes time, but can be done.

I heard the same thing from the rep I was emailing with, that you can get it, but it is a special order. I tried a bunch of zip codes in the Build a Lexus and the RSES wasn't available in a lot of areas. The areas that had NAV, which was most, the ML was not called out on the description, so that seems to confirm what we are being told. Only when you go to the general features list for the RX will you see the ML.
I guess I'll have to look for RSES to get it, but it looks like they are few and far between in FL.

Some dealers in CA have a few 2008 RX350's with 18" alloys, heated seats, Tow prep pkg, Navigation & Mark Levinson pkg. WITHOUT the RSES. Confirmed since I was there a few days ago and saw the vehicle.
MSRP is around $45,785 instead of $44,481.

My 08-RX has the exact configuration that you're looking for: ML and Nav without RSES. My local dealership in Greenville, SC said the special order have to come from Japan and takes 4 months. I persisted and found a dealer in Atlanta who's able to get a new one built in 45 days. Plus they were cheaper than my local dealer.

Thanks everyone for the replies and assistance. CA is unfortunately too far and I am not sure it's worth the added cost to ask a FL dealership to get one from there.
I don't really want to go the SO route as the bargaining position is lost for me at this point. In FL you can get RX's at or below invoice, and to do a SO will cause the price to jump. It's a great option, but not sure it's worth the added costs. I'll cross my fingers to see if one pops up locally.
Again, thanks!!

You shouldn't get shafted on a special order. They're like a dream come true for the dealer. They sell a car that they don't have to pay for up front, don't have to insure, and doesn't take up space on their lot.
If dealers could keep their sales numbers without having any inventory, that's exactly what they would do. The only reason they have cars on the lot is because most people want it NOW and will go elsewhere if they have to order. But a factory order is the most profitable sale they can possibly make.
