we got our 09 last week. black/black. Didn't notice on the 08s had it, but ours has chrome door handles which i usually don't like but was ok on the black. And ours has 4 lighted door sills which I like better than i would have thought. I cant find any other possible changes. Put the Lockpick nav unlock on without any reservations since it worked on the 08 model.
from 2008-2009, there were no changes

Picked up our 2009 Pebble Beach Edition RX on Friday, only got to put 45 miles on it so far. Love the add-ons that this edition brings. We got it in the Truffle Mica color which is a great color especially out in the Sun and exclusive to this model. Pebble Beach Adds: 18" 10 spoke wheels, Chrome Grill, Color Keyed Spoiler, and a host of options available under the normal RX. Now for the fun...

I am so confused what model year are we in for the RX? I thought we were in 2009, but then on TV I saw a commercial for a 2008 RX and the advertisement was not by a dealer. What is going on?

2009 models just showed up two weeks ago. so there are probably still some 2008s on the lots, but the factory is producing only 2009s.
there are probably some great incentives to buy a 2008 model now

If you want a specific color/combo and option configuration, you'll probably have to go with a 2009, and you'll pay more, unless you are lucky to find an 08 leftover that is exactly what you want. If you're flexible on color/config, as others have said you can get a great deal whatever 08s are left. Either way, enjoy it!

Currently with the RX350, Lexus is bringing out the next year model during the prior year. In Feb of '08, the '09 RX350 became available with no change except the Pebble Beach option... and it has some extra Chrome (as they say) detailing on the grille. It stinks but, I just bought an '09 because I just couldn't wait for the 2010. Toyota basically did the same thing and skipped the '08 model all together on the Camry. Who do they think they are.... Ford during the '80's? Lexus... create new models quicker... just don't change model years, ok?
