I have bluetooth and it usually works fine. i am currently experiencing, and have had this once before, a malfunction in part of the functionality. the phone connects to the car and when the phone rings the radio cuts out and the screen shows that a call is coming in, but i don't hear anything over the speakers. i have to pick my phone up and talk in order to hear and the caller can't hear me over the car reciever. the 1st time it happened it lasted for a couple weeks and then as mysteriously as it stopped, it worked fine again.

any ideas? my maintenance light is on because of 30k miles. could this be connected. i can't remember if last time i needed an oil change and waited awhile if the phone cut off.

There is a TSB for bluetooth issue mentioned in the attached file. See if your vehicle has this issue and if it qualifies for it

umm. my RX350 has that distortion sound for when I talk on the phone...

but my VIN# is 2T2HK31U88CXXXXXX

does that mean the fix is not for me?

mine is not a distortion problem and it started working again today for no apparent reason.
