Default Pricing for used RX330

Hi

With all the recent discount of $4500+ for the RX330. I was wondering what's the use market price for the RX330.

I am interested in looking at a used RX330. What is a good price for them. I am located in Boston, MA

Option one:
2004 RX330 w/ 40,000 miles and option is only premium package I think. This is asking for $35,995

Option two:
2005 Rx330 w/ 15,000 miles and option is only a premium package as well. This is asking $38,995

What's a good price for these ?

It's hard to tell from the data you have provided.

The final deal often depends upon what you are trading in, as well as the options on the one being purchased. I am picking up a '04 RX330 in a few days that I purchased over the weekend.

Your best bet to determine the market price in your area is to spend some time on Cars.com and ebay and see what they are going for with the options your are looking for. Armed with that data, and the same data for my trade-in, I was able to predict what the final number was probably going to be, and was able to negotiate a final number pretty quickly.

Also, price may vary depending on whether the car is CPO or not. If so, (and only a Lexus dealer can give you one with CPO) you have 3 years full warranty from date of purchase (or 100,000 miles); if not, you only have the rest of the 4 year warranty, which runs from the "in service" date, which any dealer can call up on his computer from the VIN. If you are buying directly from the owner, there is a lot more room on setting the price, but you won't know what you can get on a trade in until you test that market yourself.

Asking here what a few people have experienced will not give you an accurate enough sample from which to make a valid conclusion. You will need a lot more info than that.

Mind me asking how much you got yours for ?

I did some research and unfortunately ebay does not help. Pricing up there is pretty high as well for a use 2004 RX330 but it's all over nothing from my area.

I did the kbb.com and find out what a typical trade-in is for a used 2004 RX330 w/ 40,000 on it with just a premium package. That price came out to mid-20's. But the dealer here are asking like $35K for it. It's certified but that just a big jump from trade-in they gots.

I think that price is just ridiculous since I could get a new one for around $38K with similar or more options. The things is I don't want to spend that much, prefer somewhere around $30K or lower.

But thanks anyway, I will just need to test the water and see what I could come up.

Those prices seem awfully high for used cars especially the 2004 with 40K and only premium package. You can already get remaining 2005 RX330s with premum plus packages, HIDs, power hatch and such for $37K brand new so that 2005 with 15K for $38,995 seems really high as well. In a few months I'm thinking of putting our 2004 premium plus with 50K miles up for sale and I hope to get $25K out of it.

I just helped my buddy last month get an 04 RX (actually built in 03, early release) for $28K OTD. It is CPO with Premium package and 48K on the clock. Tip: The dealer can ask whatever price they want, but if you don't pay they are not selling at that price. I was WTF, that's almost the price of new , when I got some quotes at first.

I think dealers are pricing the used RX higher to sell the new cars and they will come down to more reasonable prices if you push them hard enough.
