'05 AWD w/ navi only available in Thundercloud Edition?
I was configuring the RX at lexus.com, but noticed the packages available with navi. is only on the Thundercloud. I actually wanted the MSM color instead. Can anyone confirm this?

The configuration tool at lexus.com is notorious for being overly restrictive. I've got to believe you can get navigation without the Thundercloud package. We've had navigation as an option since the 2001 RX 300, long before Thundercloud.
Although it's painful talking to dealers, you can get an idea from your dealer what the "standard" builds are for your region. The way Toyota (and therefore Lexus) sells cars in the U.S. is to make 3-5 standard option package combinations for each of several regions of the country. You can get just about anything if you're willing to special order it from the factory, but you'll only see these standard builds sitting on the lot in stock.
The Web site is trying to be smart about which builds are being sent to your area, but it's not always accurate, and it makes people think you can't combine certain options.

My understanding is that you do not have to get the Thundercloud edition to get nav. But from what I understand right now, there is a tight demand for AWD Nav 330's and none to be found (except for our Thundercloud due in Long Beach on the 16th

You can definately get the AWD with NAV without getting the TC. The shortages are all regional. Check around, it may be beneficial to buy from a different state and pay the shipping costs rather than wait. In any event, don't let a dealer talk you into it unless you really want the TC. The Lexus website leaves quite a bit to be desired, and I hate how all of its dealers follow the same format. Don't be fooled.

I have a '05 in MSM with Nav, so it can be done. Fletcher Jones here in Vegas had a couple MSMs with Nav when I bought mine, so you don't have to get the TCM edition...although I do love that black birds eye maple and that special grill!
