Hey Everyone,
A RX400H will be on display at Longo Lexus in El Monte, CA this weekend from Friday afternoon around 3 pm until Monday night 9 pm. This car is being sponsered by our enviromental friends at OCEANA. They are selling raffle tickets for a RX400H. For those of you who would like to see the car up close, this is your chance. No test drives. Raffle tickets are $50 each and there are only 2,500 tickets being sold. So if you are in the area, please stop by and sit in the RX400H and buy a raffle ticket. It's for a good cause and you could win a Lexus RX400H!

Elizabeth,
What can you tell us about the possible brake assist recall? Thanks......

Lexus SUV probe reported
NYT: Federal regulators looking into possible problems with RX330's power brake assist system.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - U.S. federal regulators have launched an early-stage safety investigation into 2004 models of Toyota Motor Corp.'s Lexus RX330 sport utility vehicle, the New York Times reported Wednesday.
A Toyota (Research) spokesman in Tokyo confirmed the investigation, which is a preliminary evaluation of a possible glitch in the vehicle's power brake assist system.
If warranted after this first step, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) carries out a further engineering analysis to determine whether a recall would ultimately be required.
The spokesman said Toyota is cooperating with authorities in the investigation.
The inquiry was launched after the NHTSA received complaints of brake problems from 10 Lexus owners, the New York Times said.
A Lexus spokesman told the newspaper the company was aware of the problem and had issued a technical service bulletin to its dealers recommending replacing the vehicle's brake booster if the problem occurred.
He said Lexus needed to review the government's consumer complaints "to determine if further action is warranted."

Just curious what is the wait time now for a new RX400h? Does Longo have a huge list of people on the waiting list? I have heard reports of up to a year wait when it comes out in April to other reports of only a couple of months. What is the delivery time for this incredible vehicle?
Thanks.
Thanks.

lexguynj,
April 15 is the oficial launch date and I'm told no more delays. I'm not sure yet how long the wait is because there are several different factors in the wait time. It depends on: where you are in line, how many cars your dealer is getting, how the dealer conducts their list, how many people cancel their order, and what color you want. The list can change after the car comes out and even if you are at the end of the list, you could move up quickly.
OR....
Buy a raffle ticket and you could win a RX400H for free! And it'll be one of the first ones. Only $50 bucks for winning odds 1 in 2,500, not too shabby. Better than the lottery right? I got 2 tickets for my parents today so wish them luck!
