Trading in Rx330 for SC430 *sic*
I have an RX330, Savanah Gold, ultra Premium (Nav and Mark Levinson, the best sound!), only have about 5000km on it! Always on the road with work, no time to drive. Thinking of trading it in for an '04 SC430 for the summer driving only. The dealer is asking for the RX and $25G (canadian $!) I was gonna take the plunge but now the time is near(end of month) I am not so sure. I really like my RX for the little use I got. I would love to have both but that is not an option(they won't take the wife and kids on trade-in!) Has anyone here ever consider the same (trading in the RX, that is)? Why did or didn't you do it? I am torn......

I have only owned my RX for a month, but I can't see myself trading her in ANY time soon. I have driven the SC's, and they are nice. I would love to have one, but if I can't have both ..... I would stay with the RX. Especially with the large ammounts of snow I get in Ohio. I'm not sure if you have ever driven an SC in the snow, but it is AWFULL!!!! No traction whatsoever. Just my .02.

I purchased an RX330 in April 2003 when they first came out. I really like it alot and have enjoyed driving it. My was husband was looking to get rid of his 2000 S80 T6 Volvo and decided that he too liked my car (this is the first car I have owned that he has really liked too). He decided that he would take my car and get me another one. To soften the blow he bought me a 2004 SC430. Now I have the best of both worlds; I can drive my SC and occasionally drive the RX when I need more room (Costco runs). I couldn't be any happier.

My wife loves the RX330 and has a little over 10K miles on it, however with the new baby and all the gear we have to lug around, she is asking for the larger GX. The RX330 does have enough room, but it's always nice to have more.
So I am waiting for the significant changes for the 2005 GX (reportedly more HP and Sports Package per info from this forum). It still does seem a shame to trade in such a new vehicle.
I also enjoyed driving the RX, but the GX will better satisfy my manly truck urges.
