No coin or ashtray in the RX330?

A lot of car companies are no longer offering the Cig lighter as standard anymore since I guess smoking is sort of a polictical subject. If you notice most new cars have that cap on the cig plug that says 12V ACC. The cig package are now offered as an optional add on.

I ordered the cigarette lighter and "ashtray" as a dealer-installed option. As it turned out, my salesman arranged to have it installed for me at no charge (oddly, I wasn't aware of this until I actually had it installed a couple of weeks after I took delivery, since it had to be ordered - a nice surprise, I must say).
The "ashtray" is not really installed, as it is a removable plastic cylindrical canister-looking thing with a hinged lid, I believe intended to fit into one of the cupholders. I had to laugh as the simulated metal finish (to match the center console area, I guess) kind of made it look like a miniature garbage can. I don't bother using it, but the lighter has come in handy on occasion.

A tip: I just use the sunglass holder near the dome light.

I also agree about the coin tray- drastic oversight! Went to Target & bought one of those 5.99 ashtrays that look like a cup. Keep it in the center console to throw my change in. Actually seems to work pretty good.

It is very nice to see the cigarette paraphernalia finally eliminated - this is long overdue imo as the majority of people aren't smoking, especially soccer moms. As I am writing this the Philp Morris ad is on TV saying there is no safe cigarette. I hate looking at the ashtray in mine - I discarded the lighter immediately when I picked up the car! 
I do like coin holders but the one on the 300 is loose and squeaky at least on my car I had to pack it with stuff to squelch the squeaks until I can get it fixed.
