Nav. Gen-2. Inserted U-8 upgade - program disc? I bricked it.
Hello,
I have a 2001 RX. Gen 2 navigation, stock disc when new. Inserted a U-8 disc, and it runs the "updating software" message, half english, half in Japanese. When done it says "wrong program disc, insert proper disc".. I bought the disc from ebay, a genuine Toyota/Lexuxs disc, but I think maybe it is only the upgrade disc and not the full maps? Of course the old v1 disc also doesn't work now since the upgrade, which I expected. Does this sound right?
I did search the forums prior to posting and didn't find this exact item.
