Default Testing Coil Packs?

Does anyone know what the testing procedure is for the coil packs on a 1999 RX300?

Looking to see if I can find the testing for use with a multi meter vs. just swapping around the packs if possible.

Thanks

Swapping coil pack is a sure test. Meter based checking will give you indicators only. I would strongly suggest to stick with swapping.

Figured as much but was just hoping someone had the other method of testing on hand so I would have another option to fall back on if I didn't want to do the swapping.

unplugging a single coil pack at a time is another testing method. You would get an rpm drop if the unplugged coil pack is good. If bad, the sound would still sound the same as if you never unplugged it.

Visual inspection would give other signs to a failed coil. Check for cracked boots, oil, debris.

You are close to the 200k mark per your other post, if the previous owner didn't do the spark plug change yet, this is a good time to inspect and replace them and torque to spec.
