Thanks much.
I have this same problem with my rear boots, glad you asked this question.

Also, on the rear brake light warning issue. I have had mine come on several times. Both times is was the bulb socket on either the outer left or outer right side of the car. The metal terminals that contact the bulb were fatigued and "relaxed" no longer making consistent contact with the bulb. I bent them in slightly with a small pick, added some dielectric grease with no more problems.

Thanks cotis! I'll take a look at those contacts! I got a price on the board ($400) and so I am looking for anything to fix the issue, without having to replace that ECU.

All of the lights function, but I HATE getting error lights on my dash. Especially when I know that they are bogus!

Yes, this is the offending module.

The back and sides of the seat are vinyl. Only the seating surfaces are leather. I would just get a good quality vinyl to replace them at 1/4 the price of leather. You can get armrest covers on e-bay but just have the upholster store do them while they are at it.

This weekend our RX's WeatherTech mats arrived. The fronts fit ok, but not as well as in our LX or ES. The middle row needed triming for the center console. I did not know that this mat can be trimmed for 3 options = no trimming, ~3 inch trim, and ~7 inch trim. I trimmed out to the full depth and then figured out that it only needed the middle trim.

If you purchase WeatherTech mats, just note that the middle row will need to be evaulated for trimming.

The rear (behind the 2nd row) fit perfectly.

WeatherTech shout a lot about their custom, perfect fit, all weather mats. I would call them and complain!

Questions:
Did the Dallas upholster use OEM leather or after market leather/synthetic
Would you please post a photo of the work they was completed?
Again, what seat parts were reupholstered?
Thanks

These are custom to each car. At $240 for just the one seat bottom and arm rest above, under $300 for both seats is a deal.
Covers
  • Manufactured in the U.S.A.
Some Gorilla tape on the rips before the cover and the rips are stopped. There are lots of cheaper seat cover options (while not CHEAP). First cars almost NEVER last as the driver hasn't learned to get out of the way of all the crazy people yet. I have a step sticking out of my rear hitch and I've still drove in people yards as to NOT get rear ended. To easy to total a under $3000 Suv (2000 rx300) and I wouldn't sell for under $6000, hence I will never sell. The best part of a first car ( times change) was eating fast food and driving listen to music, which ended up messy as teens.

8in Fire as head unit.

95% of interior lights replaced with white or blue

Replacing the shift light and the ignition ring with arctic blue lights and all the other inside lights with led (white) really made the car feel, way newer.
In life you get 2 of 3, fast, good or cheap. With the seats being more than 10% of the cars value, I would cover and then HUNT for new seats. New as in new to you, which you then can get cover with no rush, finding the best place.

Here is just the bottom part on Ebay but you could hunt around and find it other places.
