Good Morning Lexus Lovers...

If I am posting this question in the wrong place or in violation of a rule, I apologize.

My beloved 2000 RX300 died a couple of months ago and I need to sell her. The engine is ceased but otherwise the car is in good shape. She gave our family 3 generations of good service and lasted 280K miles. I wonder how much I could sell her for? She's more than scrap but obviously has a big, expensive problem to fix problem.

Thanks for any thoughts you may have.

With 280K and a dead motor it is worth very little, as is. Best to part it out, then give the remains a decent christian burial.

Just donate it to your favorite charity and use it as a tax write off. You can deduct up to fair market value.

Check on the new IRS rules for donating vehicles. I believe you need to wait until notified what the charity eventually sold it for before you can deduct it.
