CEL light turned on and then off
Hi all. I'm new to this forum and so far I found it a great knowledge repository.
I recently bought a 2000 Rx300 and so far it has been great. But I had one issue and I wonder if anyone can give me some advice.
I live in Columbus OH and I went away for vacations for two weeks and left my car parked on the street. Nobody started the car during that period of time. When I came back and started the car everything was Ok. However the next day at some point the CEL light came on (alone, no other warning light was on). It stayed solid for a while and then started to blink. Then after stooping for a while when I started the car the CEL light was on again, this time not blinking. It continued that way for the rest of the drive. This morning (a very cold morning) I started the car and the light was on again. I took a short drive and parked the car and turn the engine off. I re-started the engine and now the light was off and it has remained off for the remainder of the day (with multiple stops and starts). So I wonder if those two cold-ish weeks without starting may have cause some issue that when away when I started driving the car again ?
Any opinion, idea or advice is appreciated.
Thanks.

Welcome to CL.
Please read the sticky threads and in the 'having problem start here' the CEL has been explained in good detail.
Summary, please have the codes read and see what is either a pending code or real code.
On a side note, when were the spark plugs changed? 110K miles with OEM plugs only is recommended. What about other required maintenance items?

Hi Salim
I still have the CEL light on (at time) andirons hand even flashed a couple of times. At those times I have noticed that the car rattles on idle which I know is indicative of misfiring.
I got a OBD2 scan done and I got these codes. What advice can you give me:
P0300 (302, 304, 306)
P1354 (VVT system bank2)
Thanks.
