AGHWWW Heat in Florida?
Help..
Heater door control (temperature control) drive quit. Now this little black box containing a motor, gears and an arm, is attached to the box door that allows the hot air into the cabin. Does this unit go bad, or is it more likely in the control head. Everything seems to work correctly, switching outlets for the air, and fan speed. There is just NO temperature control.. Using a test light, there seems extremely low voltages on the motor. The light is quite dim (like me!)..
Any suggestions?

Usually the little plastic worm gear on the motor gets loose on the motor shaft. E-Z repair.. just glue or otherwise secure the worm gear to the motor shaft. I repaired mine by roughing up the motor shaft so that the worm gear was a tight fit. Works fine now.
