Seat Belt, Rear, RX 300
It seems I haven't mastered the use of Posts and threads yet. Been looking for a seat belt post, found it once and have entered in the search many, many times trying to use different words trying to find any information about the seat belts, without success.
My question is related to the location of the rear seat belt on my 1999 RX 300. The belt tension seems to be weak. The belt will recoil some but not enough to be correct. Not only the location of the belt but which plastic panels should be removed in order to service or replace it. I do have the factory manuals but for the life of me, the information for the rear seat belts is scarce, no detail. I would appreciate any help on this matter and I thank you in advance.

Thanks Bob. Before I can do that I will need some guidance as to which panel to remove first in order to access it. Perhaps youre refering to clean it while it's still on, in that case...will do and thanks again my friend.

i just fixed the rear passenger searbelt in my 2001 RX. I had to remove 2 panels and pull up a 3rd to really get my hand in there. Mine was stuck in the locked position. Once I got the roller going again, it has been fine.

If you read your manual, there is a section on how to lock the seatbelt for safety with a carseat. That is what I assume happened to mine. The previous owner had a baby. The seatbelt was in the locked position so long, it just stuck. I pulled the panels off, rolled the belt and roller a few times with my hands to get it going and it has worked fine since.
