Tinting RX-300 front windows

Tinting RX-300 front windows
I got a gift certificate for getting the front windows tinted on our new RX300. The tint place does Formula one and Lumar film and has the film we need.
But they said the 2 small front windows on the sides of the mirrors is illegal to do because its considered part of the windshield. I think this is a bunch of crap personally. I live in San Antonio, Texas and there is no law that states that. As long as side windows are 35% its fine.
Does anyone else know? I am about to have a fight with them to force them to do those sides like I asked or I want a refund.

Perhaps because those windows are not part of the front doors, the tint shop is taking this stance. I know these windows have been tinted by other members, in other states.
