Converting the Screen to English
I have a RX300 1999 model import straight from Japan. The screen is still in Japanese and the radio stations are all in Japanese settings. Is there any software or new code to convert to english?
Thanks

I also have a 99 Harrier straight from Japan. Have been wondering the same thing for a while now. Mine also has the Japanese Naviken navigation system, all in Japanese. Fortunately, my wife can read it.

My 98 is the same - still has the Japanese map database CD in the console drive - it usually shows me in the sea about 30ks off the coast of Tokyo ....
Another annoying feature is that the clock is tied to the GPS so is _precisely_ 3 hours slow and there is no way to adjust it.
I've had my Harrier almost 2 years and have trolled most web sites I can find and have never come across any reference to a way of changing the display language settings :-(

Toyota harrier
Has anyone been able to get a solution to the GPS / Clock / TV translation problem ? i would like to be able to set the clock at least
Also does anyone know how to dim the info screen. it is too bright and distracting at night.
Finally, how does one adjust the small towing mirror mounted on the port front wing

re clock/TV/GPS - I've not found anything so far, but live in hope ...
re brightness - there is a thin rocker switch on the left of the center console just below the main TV / Disc / Tape buttons. One side is labeled sound, the other something in Japanese. Press the right hand (Japanese) end. A menu will pop up with two obvious slider controls. Both affect brightness to some degree but I think the right hand one is proably meant to be a contrast adjust. The single button on the far left turns off the screen, except for the clock - pressing any of the main menu buttons brings it back. The single button on the right side changes the background from a plain blue to a mottled blue/grey.
re the parking mirror - it doesn't seem to move much and is definately a two person job.
