Downstream O2 bracket broke off
The JB Weld Stick held on for a little over a month then broke off again. After last fill up ,my wife was already at a half tank after 80 miles. Needless to say this is an expensive problem. After shopping around online , it seems that I am going to have to buy another cat in order to get a new bracket. One of the studs was already broken off and I broke the other one trying to put a new bolt on.
Do any of you know if it is possible to just buy this bracket of am I going to be out $200 + ?

JB Weld cant stay for long due to high temperature.
I would suggest that try an exhaust shop and see if they can weld some thing.

Update - "studs damaged beyond repair" per car x. They did not try to sell me another cat which was nice. They did quote me $75 labor to put a new flex pipe on. Found Bosal pipe for $85 and a walker for $65. I can cyber coupon and get either one for $30 less. I am leaning toward Bosal . Just concerned about fitment on either one. Advance auto claims exact fit.

Let me know how the job goes. I plan on trying to DIY the front flex pipe in a few months. What gaskets did you need to buy?

That is where I was getting the crazy deals. I usually end up with free stuff after it is all said in done. I know I got a 3M lens kit for free after doing what I call "Extreme Cyber Couponing" thru Advance
I got a crazy deal on my Bank 1 A/F sensor as well. Cheaper than what you can get on Amazon. Not to mention it was Denso.

Sorry for responding so late. You do know that you can use more than one coupon thru Advance Auto?

Well I replaced the pipe today, or really I should say I had it replaced. The front 2 bolts came out easy with an electric impact. The rear ones just rounded off the heads. So I used an angle grinder on one, but I was eating a face full of sparks and fire and what was left of the bolt was still stuck in there. So I borrowed a torch and tried to cut the other one off. Just ended up making a mess of the bolt and could never get it cut off cleanly. With a lift it would have been a piece of cake, but on my back with my face up there made it very uncool. So I finally punted and went to a local muffler shop and gave them $70 to finish what I started. Took them maybe 5-10 minutes. Paid way to much for what it was, but after fighting it for a long time and busting up my hand and somehow sitting up and catching my face with the license plate, I was ready to pay a few bucks and call it a day. The walker part seems like a very good quality replacement.
