Question Has anyone replaced there catalytic converter themselves?

Hey guys my ride did'nt pass smog and I was told I need a new cat. Has anyone replaced there's themselves? I've been looking for a new one online but have only found (weld) only replacements I wonder if they have any bolt on's available or if I should just take it to the shop

I failed emissions 3 time and am still trying to get it to pass also. Yes a cat is easy to complete if you have a sawsall and a welder. Just buy a Cheap cat that is for the exhaust size you have and pay a shop to weld it in right. It should be about 50$ to weld it in. Mine did 3 days ago.

I just want to make sure these will fit and will be good for california emissions? the site says there 50 state legal just wanna make sure Im doing the right thing.. thanks guys

MAGNAFLOW CATALYTIC CONVERTER -- 50-state legal; 3-way catalyst style; 2.25 in. inlet; 2.25 in. outlet; Single inlet and outlet configuration; 9 in. body length, 6.5 in. width, 13 in. overall length; Ceramic honeycomb catalyst substrate; Oval stainless steel casing; The main benefit of this catalytic converter is that one unit may cover a wide variety of vehicle makes and models; Installing this converter often requires the use of welding, cutting, and tube bending equipment that is readily available to most professional installers.
