Might sound crazy but, Mercury Outboard Quicklean Stage 2 it doesn't lower octane like seafoam can and you will gain about 5 MPG while using it and 1-3 afterwards, it is safe for MAF sensors, as modern outboards have all the same sensors as car engines.

5-MPG gain sounds too good to be true...but I may be wrong.

I've used bottled Techron in concentrate, i.e. double strength, to clean the carbs, four of them, of a motorcycle which was unintentionally stored for 'bout three years with a full 7.4 gallons of fuel in the tank.
I'm shocked, but it ran just fine after putting a full bottle in the tank, sloshing it around a bit, finally getting it to run long enough to get the old gasoline out of the bowls, then I let it it for a couple of weeks, starting it for a couple of minutes every few days.

The one I keep favoring is Redline's Fuel System Cleaner,
http://www.redlineoil.com/product.aspx?pid=80&pcid=12
I seem to find this in Pep Boys and not the other auto parts stores, but I do buy it online at Amazon, too.
