My truck won't start ?
I HAVE A 99 RX300 JUST BOUGHT BOUT WEEK AGO AND IT HAD A CEL OF KNOCK SENSOR. AND LAST NIGHT I CHANGE THE KNOCK SENSOR N EVERY THING WAS FINE, STARTED IT UP CLEARED THE CODE AND AS I LET THE CAR RUN FOR ABOUT 15 MINUTES TO WARM HER UP IT SHUT OFF AND NEVER CAME BACK ON ... IT HAS GAS GOING THRU , SPARK , BUT THE INJECTORS ARE NOT TURNING ON ? I SPRAYED STARTER FLUID IN THE AIR BOX AND IT STARTS BUT TURNS OFF QUICKLY ( THAT WAS JUST A TEST ) ALSO CHECKED FUSES N RELAYS N NOTHING ... SINCE I PURCHASED THE CAR I HAD THE ALARM INSTALLED W AUTO START AND CONNECTED MY SYSTEM AND THERE HAS BEEN NO PROBLEM UNTIL I CHANGED THE KNOCK SENSOR

Welcome to Club Lexus.
Please refrain from using capitals, if not necessary.
Have you double-checked everything you did to change the knock sensor? Changing the knock sensor requires you to remove a lot of parts, it's possible something is left disconnected.

Hey the caps is something I do once in awhile, it is no big deal....Anyway I would check the electrical connectors going in to the fuel rail for the injectors. I know you disturb a lot of stuff to do knock sensors...Congratulations on taking on that job....

My first guess is that IACV is giving problem where the RX is failing to hold idle.
It may be time to tear apart and reassemble,

Salimshah, he said starter fluid made it run for a minute, than it dies...Maybe the injectors arent energizing....Should be able to hear them click....remember when you do knock sensors you tear the entire intake manifold off and disturb wiring to injectors as well....

X2, thanks for the follow up. It can be extremely helpful to the next guy.
And, yes those grounds can be a pain in the ****. I recently changed my rear valve cover gasket, and I forgot to put the ground back (i think it was the same exact ground you forgot...how weird is that?...lol). Anyways, the RX would rev up to 4500 rpm and then slam into 2nd no matter how much pressure I put on the gas pedal. It was really weird, and It scared the crap out of me. But, anyways, the next day I pulled everything apart and realized that I never connected the ground back.
So moral of the story, never forget the frickin' (<replace with you know what), ground or else it will drive you nuts to find out what's gone wrong.
