Default Humming noise under the front hood

I'm hearing humming noise. Sounds like some kinda small elec. motors are spinning under the hood somewhere..

It starts as soon I insert the key in (even before when I turn my key to ACC position).. stayed that way about ~1 min, then stops..

It's not a motorized antenna that makes the noise.. sound is from the front.. deep under the hood..

Anyone familiar with this kinda noise or know what causes this noise? I just hope it's normal..

Sung,
I know what it is. I have the same question before. You have navigation right? I am 100% sure because I have nav too. It's the ballast warming up. After a minute, there's no noise.l When you stick your key in, there's a humming noise and then it's gone after a minute. No worries.

Am I guessing right? NAV?

I think what you're hearing is your HID headlights auto-levelling motors. When you start the car the aim themselves, sometimes I can hear mine if the stereo is off. When you start the car at night and the HID's come on, watch form them to aim down and back up again. Sometimes you can see the light moving down and up against the garage wall, or a store window, if your car is facing them when you turn it on.

Default Not the Nav

I hear it as well, however I do not have a nav system. I'd go along that its the HID's.
