Yeah, this has to be the most FAQ for RX300s, ever.

Door actuator. To clarify, it's either dirty or broken.

There's a guide on here that shows you how to easily clean the existing one - if that doesn't work you have to either replace or bypass the existing actuator. There's a few ways it can be fixed, I suggest checking out all of them and seeing which one you feel most comfortable doing. Unfortunately, none of them are easy.

My front driver side has been out for over a year and I haven't fixed it, for this very reason. It's going to be a major PITA to fix.

Seth, think positive rather than negative. I have done quite a few with the $5. aftermarket actuator and I don't consider it a PITA at all. Course, I tend to think positive rather than negative. If you are not experienced in automotive work it will probably be a chore for you. It's all in your outlook in life!

Depends on the dealer (Toyota or Lexus or independent) but will probably run between $450.- $650. parts and labor. Lexus most likely being the high one on that list. If there's any way you could do it yourself I would sure suggest it. There are plenty of good instructions for whatever method you choose, just do a search.
