P0135 code check engine and VSC light on
I have a Lexus RX 300 2003 AWD. For the last 3 years I have the engine check light which comes on and off. Typically the light used to turn off in winter months and return in summer months.
However, this year the light just stayed all through. This is time for my inspection I would need to get this fixed.
I took it to Autozone and the code was P0135 (o2 sensor bank1 sensor1) need to be replaced. I replaced it with Bosch sensor but I still have the engine check light on. Autozone guys erased code but it jsut came back right away.
I removed EFI and battery cable. The issue still persists.
Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you very much.

Bosch is not a good brand for anything in any Japanese vehicles except for maybe wiper blades. LoL. Bosch doesn't play nice with the ECU.
Get a Denso A/F sensor, and it should fix it.

This is one of those areas where I say stick to the original Denso sensors (MAF sensor, ignition coils). These sensors can get really finicky. I got the best price on Amazon, too.

Gentleman,
I changed the sensor from Bosch to Denso. After that took the EFI fuse and put it back.
However, I still see the light on. Is there something else I should be doing?.
Any other tips?

Take a look at the entire thread as a lot of us add pictures of us doing this process over the years.

Hello!
My CEL and VSC both came on couple of days ago and my inspection is in August.
I changed both of my sensors 2 years ago for $500 (the mechanic said I need to change 2 sensors, which I'm guessing the one in the front and the rear.)
But after reading this post I realized that he might have ripped me off!
So this time, I'm going to try to do it myself, and I looked at the amazon link you provided.
Is that the only one I need to get and change?
And over and over I say this, but this forum is so helpful in so many ways!!
Thank you so much for helping us out!

The only other thing is an O2 sensor, that's underneath the vehicle after the catalytic converter (it's cheaper than an A/F sensor), see my DIY, https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...sor-2-diy.html
Make sure you get the code scanned first, don't assume it's the A/F Sensor or anything else.

I just looked through and now I understand.
I will try to get the code scanned asap so I know exactly which one I need to change.
I will come back to ask you more questions if I get stuck.
Thank you so much!
