light wattage?
Hi all!
Newbie here...just purchased a 2002 silver RX300 last week.
I am planning to install some 9005 and 9006 bulbs tomorrow. These are Nokyas (no money for PIAAs... ), that are rated 55 watts for the 9005s and 65 watts for the 9006s. According to my Lexus manual, it listed 51 watts for 9005 and 60 watts for 9006.
Will using the Nokyas damage my new baby?
Thanks guys!

Thanks for the advice kb.
Since I am auto mechanically challenage, I asked my Lexus dealer to install the lights for me...he wanted $83!!!
I thought to myself "****** NO!", but told him "No thanks."
I ended up installing the lights myself. It took me 45 minutes (I was real cautious at first...the last two lights only took 5 minutes). All this would not take no more than 15 minutes for the guy at the dealership, yet he wants $83!
My new lights looks great!

dont worry shaggy, it should work out great. Dealers are punks... they just want try to take your money anyway you can even for simple jobs... dumb dealers.. haha but no,it wont burn your harness or anything unless the wattage of the bulb is around 100 or 80... then i'd shy away from those...
put some pics up, i want to see how those bulbs look
