Paddy - you're right, those are really sweet looking tires... the 235 size will fit from what's been posted, but I'd rather have a 225... However, H speed rating, uni-taq, and a great looking tire is a hard combo to pass up - had overlooked these previously. A bit more expensive than the Pirelli Scorpian S/T I had been considering though; plus the Scorpian comes in a 225. What to do, what to do?

Yes, I can understand that the Brigstone (S03's) might be a better selection on your Boxster for track duty. I've driven a couple of Porsches with S02's (993 Turbo & Boxter S). So if the S03 has improved on the performance of the latter - that's a tall order to be comparing the Kumho to - especially considering the application. However, for a 235/70/16 "H" rated SUV tire, there just aren't that many choices as far as performance goes. Again in race applications I'm told that the Kumho's fare quite well for their price point. Maybe you had a bad set - I don't know. One thing for sure, you can't go wrong with the Bridgestones.

On the RX the turn in is much sharper, and the ultimate grip (wet & dry) is up there too. For my spirited driving practices, I couldn't really ask for much more in a true truck tire. Although the RX is not
what you would consider a "Truck' in real terms, it does deserve more than car (>read trailer) tires. I 've put about 5k on the Kumho's so far. They do emit a bit more noise, but I don't care - it's a small compromise for the much improved handling. Overall, I can recommend them. If your looking for a Luxurious, quiet, soft riding doughnut - look elsewhere.

All kidding aside the ride is firm - but not at all harsh
