I see you also have a 2002 RX300. Have you tried all three of the cigarette lighters? If only one is not working, which one? Do you have reason to think that you did something to blow the fuse (e.g., plugging in a high-amperage accessory)?

Hmmm I haven't checked the other two, but the front one is definitely not working. It was working then i unplugged my iphone charger and plugged in my wife's phone charger and it stopped working. So I suspect either when I unplugged mine or when I plugged in my wife's might have caused it. The fact that I can't adjust the mirror anymore makes me think that there may be other things that are without power....

OK, looking at the electrical diagram on CD-ROM, it looks to me like there is a 15-amp fuse (CIG) for the front cigarette lighter. There is another 15-amp fuse (PWR OUTLET) for the rear two "power outlets" that goes through an accessory relay first. The power for the CIG fuse comes off of pin 1 of the accessory relay (coil-side).

Confusing diagrams. It does indeed look like the mirror adjustors are also powered by this CIG 15-amp fuse.

oh that's good to know. So sounds like it's definitely the fuse. Where's the fusebox located and which exact fuse should i replace? Would you be able to post the diagram here? thanks!

The owner's manual should have fuse locations. My owner's manual is 12 flights downstairs in my RX. I don't know how to post the schematics off of the CD-ROM.

My inflator overloaded the power on the cigarette lighter (located near the shifter). I lost power on that socket...

- Side mirror adjuster is working.
- Power socket behind the cup holder (2nd row passenger) is with power.
- 15-amp fuse CIG and POWER OUTLET are good. I shifted (3) 15-amp fuse, that is, (CIG) > PWR OUTLET > (other 15A fuse) > CIG. These fuse box is located near the drivers knee side.
- Instrument panel and shifter light are working.

Any suggestion is appreciated.

I have not get the chance to check the wire behind the cigarette socket, this will be next weekend, but if any quick check I can do ...

Thanks in advance.

Hi, Mroxas. I've got exact same problem. How did you solve your situation?

Problem solved. There is one more fuse on the back of cigarette lighter socket. It looks like wire connection, but it is fuse. I don't know type and numbers of this thing, so, I just put regular wire instead of it. May be some forum members know and will tell me about it. Photos attached.

If that's a fusable link it blew for a reason.
Replacing it with plain wire could cause an overload someplace else.

I looked into that link on the back of the socket. Apparently it serves a dual purpose.
It is a fuseable link that protects against overload and cigarette lighter socket overheating.
