I am just recommending the higher weight to deal with this issue of a leak, because a lower weight oil (regardless of how good it is) can seep through, especially if worn down via oil shearing. This may help with the differences, http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/forums...643#Post718643

BTW, I mentioned the Lubro Moly Engine Oil Saver as my favorite favorite initial additive for dealing with this. Don't think that anybody else hasn't come out with something as I noticed at an AutoZone today and noticed this on the shelf, http://www.barsproducts.com/1050.htm I don't have direct experience with this product just the Lubro Moly one.

Thanks Lexmex. I was curious if it was for the reason you mentioned or just higher mileage engines.

Go for auto-rx is better. I replaced the rear main, transfer case seals and T.C. cover by a toyota mechanic. It was a very big job. You have to remove the transmission to do this.

Any ideas. Any suggestions ? Should i change any other bushings or seals with this like front differential, rear main seal or transmisson converter or any other parts ?
I am looking for your inputs.
Thanks all

Please enrich our DIY.

Also, did you remove/drop the transmission to gain access to the rear main seal?
