Has your RX 300 surpassed 200k miles??

02 AWD 202,000 miles original owner
Just replaced plugs, and rotors for the second time
This spring will replace timing belt for the second time. Original water pump and idler pulleys.
Replaced O2 sensors, and pipe that leads to gas tank. Forget the name. Was throwing an emissions code, EVAP system leak. That took care of it.
Radiator has lost most of its fins. Will replace this year.
Change oil every 4-6k miles and flush trans following post on this forum every 18 months or so~every 20-30k miles and replaced filter once.
Changed transfer case and rear fluid with Mobil 1.
A/C still works but Nav stopped working years ago and we lost the front left channel on the stereo.
Car has seen about 11 New York winters and has never failed us.
Also replaced trans shifter cable.
Great car. Buy one if you need a great SUV.

Can Lexus make a RX Classic like a Coke Classic?
I am following up with another response. I love my car and I still think it has plenty of life left in it. I just wonder when I should quit driving this car to either sell it or set it aside for going skiing and vacations and stuff (it's AWD).
Every time a new model comes out I do a simple test to see if it meets my needs:
1. it has to be plenty fast - my only complaint about my car right now
2. it has to carry 4 full sized golf bags
3. it has to carry 4 full grown adult males in complete comfort with no touching of body parts (not nice to touch sweaty arms and legs of fat dudues after a full round of golf)
4. must have auto bluetooth capability - my car doesn't have this
5. must not tip over like the Titanic when turning or during emergencies
6. it has to be quiet enough so that I don't have to yell at the dude sitting in rear passenger side when I remind him how bad he played
7. AWD with limited differential in the rear is needed
I tested the 330, 400, 350, and 450 and they failed my condition 2 and 5. And they almost failed 3 which is odd because one of the dudes (6'4") head touches the ceiling leaving a sweaty Rogaine mark in the headliner....... This is very odd given that the car weighs like 500lbs more than the current RX300. Also the back window is so sloped that the 4th golf bag has to sit way forward above the headrest of the back seats. It's OK but I better not slow down quickly lest it moves forward and hit passengers.
Naturally I don't like the cars coming out right now. I am so picky about cars that I actually had the 2000 RX 300 only to get rid of it in less than a year to buy the 01 Silversport which I kept all these years.
The GX is quite motherly and it tips over even more.
the Land Bruiser, ahem, Cruiser is nice but 14mpg? Seriously?
JX35 is just slow.
Audi's are in the shop as always.
Range Rover is good too but even worse reliability.
This leaves me with Toyota Venza and M-B ML and GL. But the Venza feels a bit plasticity inside. It has the space I need but it's just not as nicely finished as a Lexus. And feels a bit feminine.
Now I am left with the ML Diesel. GL Diesel is nice but it's slower than ML Diesel. And of course, my existing RX.
I went to the MB World forum and checked the maintenance cost and repair costs of MLs and GLs and closed my browser very quickly. don't think I'll be buying those.
So, CAN LEXUS MAKE A NEWER UPDATED VERSION OF THE RX300 WITH THE OLD SHAPE? Probably not.
Perhaps they can make the Land Bruiser/LX with a hybrid combo which gets at least 18 to 20 mpg combined. That might be interesting.
I'm keeping my car for now.

My 1999 RX is on 220000+ miles. I bought her with about 190,000 on it. It was a great deal on a trade of my Expediton. So far I've had an oil leak that has been fixed and just recently, I had the Oxygen Sensor replaced and 4 coil packs along with all spark plugs. She's still running but I have put some money into her. If feel as I should have purchase one years ago.

My Rx300 has 281,000 plus miles. Original engine, New tranny at about 240,000,original timing belt, mufflers. Check engine light is on. Was told it was the catalytic converters.

Have you ever had the codes read, as the catalytic converters are not one of those things that really goes bad on this car (did on mine, but then again I was in Mexico)?

222000 and climbing
Original owner 2000 Lexus Rx300, just reached 220000 miles and climbing. Original engine and transmission. Usual problems of government mandated sensors failing but nothing unusual. Only major problem was A/C failure misdiagnosed and incorrectly "fixed" by Lexus dealer which was subsequently repaired correctly by a local independent service center, which is where I get all my service done now!

Glad to hear the RX has stood up well.

My 1999 RX300 has 267,000 on it. It drives amazingly well and while I've had to put some time and money into it, I have nothing but good things to say about it.

My 1999 RX300 just went past 268,000 miles on original engine & transmission. No issue so far!
Did timing belt & water pump change twice (at 100K & 200K) Probably needs another timing belt change coming up.
