Default Pre-Delivery Inspection - What would you do?

Too fussy? Would you rather have your car prepped by the dealer or do it yourself?

Here are my instructions to the dealer:
Please....Only do what you absolutely have to in the prep process and no more:
Do not drill any holes
Do not mount front license plate holder (I can do it)
Do not wash, wax, or otherwise clean car
Do not remove any plastic or protective coverings unless necessary to actually drive ca
Do not let anyone else drive it (I won't accept the car with >10 miles on the ODO)
Do not mount dealer license plate frame on rear
Do not rev engine

All that sounds reasonable. I still have plastic I have to remove.

If you drive it off of the lot and remove the protective film yourself, you own any damage under the film. As long as I don't find asphalt and rubber stuck to the fender wells, I'm okay.

I drove my 08' Special Ordered Lexus IS350 home with ALL paper and plastics still intact..
No bumper drilled..

Best feeling ever unwrapping it all..!!

I even unpeeled all the stickers myself... Also signed a form stating I did that..

After PDI programming by a Tech.. The car usually gets driven to the gas station for full tank of gas..
(And subsequent wash)

They only thing that has to be unwrapped are the wheels.

It really all depends if your salesman catches the car when it rolls off the truck

When I bought my F.. It was already unwrapped.. :/

Nope, not fussy at all. It is exactly what I would request for if I get a new vehicle any time soon. I would in fact try to fit the conditions into the contract.

Good luck!
