So when can we expect to be able to walk into a dealer, test drive a car, and buy one out of dealer inventory? Will it be so limited production in 2014 that RC F will have huge markups? Are people who are pre-ordering paying whatever dealer asks?

Joe was referring to production with line off.

My understanding is that SOME cars will be on lots in November. If you decide to go that route, it will be hit or miss with regard to finding your ideal configuration. I suspect a few carbons will be on the lots, but I was told most will require a special order and 3-4 month product wait.

As for pre-payments, these will vary based on your relationships with the Lexus dealers. If you are going back for your 2nd or 3rd car, they most likely will not request a down payment. I know some in my area are asking for $2,500 to hold a spot on the queue.

We all know this will be a limited production vehicle, but I would not expect exorbitant markups.

I'm hoping to pick one up off a dealer lot when someone with a pre-order cancels.
